Tephanie Barnes
Tephanie has experience working in homes, schools, clinics, residential treatment facilities, group homes and hospital settings.
Her expertise includes early intervention, parent education, challenging behaviors, social skills, staff training and professional development. She provides BACB supervision for aspiring BCBA’s and/or BCaBA’s and Mentorships for newly certified clinicians.
Tephanie is the owner of Impact A.B.A Therapy and started her practice in November 2018. She founded her company to provide effective evidence-based interventions in a therapeutic environment for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Pervasive Development disabilities, Learning Disabilities and Challenging behaviors. Her goal is to build on socially significant skills that lead to a better quality of life for clients and their families. She strives to give hope, support and make a meaningful difference for every child and family she serves living with autism and related disorders.
Tephanie has a passion for helping graduate students achieve their professional goals in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis. She believes becoming certified, doesn’t make you qualified. She dedicates time and effort to ensure her supervisees become Qualified-Board-Certified Behavior Analyst. She believes it’s essential for clinicians to understand the importance of being both certified and qualified to provide effective evidence-based research practices.
Tephanie is a PhD student in Applied Behavior Analysis at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. She personally understands the disparity of minorities in Leadership positions in her field. She is dedicated to breaking barriers and her research will be a part of the change that increases minority representation in Leadership within the field of Applied Behavior Analysis.
